June 2013 - Newsletter
Welcome to the 5th newsletter from Craig Mitchell Photography. June’s edition is a bumper 22-page magazine, crammed with highlights from February to June. There are nearly 20 models, most of them new, featured in this issue, and the work we have produced consists of 3 ‘on-location’ shoots, 4 studio shoots, a couple of corporate engagements and this edition features two weddings. This and, of course, all of the latest news. |
May 2013 - Workshops
Following much persuasion (and, admittedly, a deep burning desire), I have started running workshops for fellow enthusiasts and photographers in ‘Beginner to Intermediate Photography’. Although still in its infancy, both the first and second workshops were well attended and I have received encouraging feedback. If this continues to be a success, I would like to run many more of these workshops in the future as this is an avenue I’m very keen to explore in the coming months. |
April 2013 - Awards
Whilst being acknowledged and respected is not (and should not be) the ultimate goal for a photographer, it certainly is flattering when your artistic eye is appreciated by your friends, colleagues and fellow photographers. I was extremely proud to win the annual award at the North Romford Camera Club in all three categories (‘Digital’, ‘Colour Print’ and ‘Black and White Print’) which were judged and recognized by external judges. |
February 2013 - Newsletter
This month’s edition features just some of the highlights in what has been an intense but enjoyable end to 2012 and start of 2013. Once again, this issue has been dominated by portraiture with Paul and Nicky’s wedding as this edition’s ‘chosen wedding’. You can also find images AND VIDEO of five new models, a brief update on my other love - graphic design - as well as an appearance in Ultimate Wedding magazine! |
October 2012 - Newsletter
Welcome to my third newsletter. October 2012’s edition features just some of the highlights from June to September. This issue has been dominated by studio portraiture with Sharon and Steves wedding being this editions ‘chosen wedding’. I even managed ot fit in a comissioned trip to my hometown in Cornwall for a beautiful comissioned project on the stunning North Cornwall coast. |
June 2012 - Newsletter
It was a very hectic start to 2012 for me. I managed to finish my 365 project and I had my first wedding as a solo photographer. I produced many portfolios for the Rochester Creative Dance Studio and I have managed to source numerous studios to allow more flexibilty and variety to my shots. As requested this issue features more photography and less chit-chat !! |
'A Year Thru The Lens' - Book Release
After hearing the inspirational stories from fellow photographers regarding taking on a ‘365 Project’ I decided to take the journey myself. On the 1st of April 2011 I took what was to be my very first photo of 365 photos - one photo, every day, for a year. I finished my project on the 31st March 2012, (366 photos later). I ended with 247 followers, numerous homepage appearences and weekly theme winners. I did not intend this project to showcase my best work simply to diary 'A year Thru The Lens' |

2012 Portfolio - Book Release
Received my new portfolio album from my new suppliers Sim2000 featuring samples of my work from 2011 to 2012 and I'm simply blown away by the quality. I ordered a sample pack of 1x A3 polished metal cover, 1x A4, 2x A5 (both hardback covers) and 8x A5 softback. The quality is amazing and the pages will last many lifetimes !!! |
